Updates: Week 4
Hello Leaders!
I think it is very important that you are all aware the EVERYTHING you do in Leadership class should be kept in a safe place.
All of the work you are completeing (journals, weekend reflections, project examples, personal brochures, etc.) will be additions to your final portfolio!!!
If you need to re-create any assignments, please do so before we take a trip to the library and learn how to properly type and send a document to yourself in your e-mail.
Very Exciting work is being done on our spirit week. we had some great ideas (and some ideas that needed a bit more work) come out during class last week. We are still going to shoot for having the events during the last week before spring break. WOO HOO!

Week 2 Homework and other Goodies
Greetings Leaders!
This week was quite the whirlwind! Here are some of the things we accomplished during class and beyond:
- Posters completed for the valentines day dance and valentines grams
- Successfull sold out dance in the MPR
- Some students got their first taste at selling items during lunch, before school and after school
- AWESOME participation from Leadership students who came to helped out for the dance by:
* Setting up decorations
* Student Security
* BACKPACK Duty DYNAMOS!
* Clean-up crew

I couldn't have asked for a better crew! THANK YOU!
- Then we wrapped up the week with rough designs of a class t-shirt for next year
Let us not forget the journal entries and out updating of our extended calendar for next week:
- Wednesday of week 3 marks the beginning of planning for spirit week. We plan on having our spirit week before spring break. There are already some awesome ideas for this, so hold on to your seats!
- The Spotlight Series is coming soon! Be sure to pick which teacher you and your table team are willing to interview! Teams must choose DIFFERENT teachers to interview.
* Ms Honeycutt will have a set list of questions that must be asked, but there will be room for each person to come up with one extra question!
* Teachers Will be contacted before the end of the week, so begin thinking who you would like to interview now!
* Look for an example Spotlight Series entry on Yours Truly next week!

Weekend Homework and Other Goodies
Hello, Hello all you Leaders out there!
I'd like to remind you of your weekend homework and recap today's class meeting.
- We filled in a few important dates on our extended calendar
- We worked hard to start some templates for the valentines day grams
- We completed our first journal entry
- We worked with the school's laptops to discover the Leadership Blog
- We learned how to leave a comment on the Leaership Blog Page
- We looked at Yahoo.com for setting up our PROFESSIONAL e-mail addresses (woo hoo!)
Okay, now for your homework. As I said in class, you will have homework every weekend and the assignment will aways be the same (unless we have a REALLY big project coming up).
You need to write at least 2 paragraphs about something you did during Leadership Class.
Please have this for Monday, February 11th for me to check off during class.
Lastly, Please have the following materials by Friday February 15th:
- 3 ring binder
- 1 packet of 20 page protectors
This will be your leadership portfolio and it is part of your final grade for this elective course.

Just to review, today we took care of some important things during our short period in leadership:
- Discovered our assigned seats :)
- Labeled and Personalized our personal files (this is where your journals and other important documents will be)
- Made our class journals
- Went over the class syllabus
- Brainstormed our team names
- Took our "Hall Pass" Pictures (Thank You for all of your WONDERFUL pictures!)
- Had a quick overview of some of the activities that are coming up VERY SOON!
Okay kiddos, I hope you're all ready to work hard and Get Things Done!
